Holy bizzee weekend!

I’m, at present, four-five-six-in’ (read: playing on repeat) this little gem and looking over my big, fuck-all, to-do list for this weekend.  I’ve got a gig lined up for every day of this weekend, which is how we like it (and I do mean the royal ‘we’).  Before we get into any of that bologna, let’s talk about PRIDE (a deeper love)…

There’s nothing quite as exhilerating as having a 6 foot 4 tranny hover over you while saying “giiiiiiirrrrlll, you look HOT! ::snap::”  I’m very disappointed to have to miss out on the big, gay love-fest that is PRIDE, but duty calls.  And by duty, I will refer, once again, to the massive to-do list hastily written on a post-it and stuck to my computer.  I may be missing out on the parade, but I am dancing at a Queer Prom that night…so, here’s to hoping the patrons stay about five or six sheets to their respective winds and make a few poor, but ultimately hilarious, choices.

Apropos to nothing, when I looked up “tranny” in my google search, I got a lot of porn and a little of this:

AWWW HEEEELLL NAAAAH!

AWWW HEEEELLL NAAAAH!

At what point does body modification go to far?  The man’s face is rendered useless.  Anyhoodles…

The gigs:

Broadzilla @ Exit this Friday! Free show, metal bar, sketchy characters. Last time I was there I saw a 50s+ biker couple dry-hump eachother.  It was like a train-wreck awesome.  I never need to have sex again!  No, seriously, this gig is always a lot of fun and very high-energy.

Girly-Q Queer Prom @ Subterranean on Saturday! I absolutely love SubT.  It’s one of my favorite venues to see bands and definitely one of my favorite venues for gigs.  Led by Miss Bea Haven, this crew is hot and always puts on an outstanding show.  Let’s get slippy for gay pride.

Vicarious @ Abbey Pub on Sunday! (I almost typed Abbey pup.  That shows you where my mind is…and that’s always on cute-n-fluffies.)   I love dancing to live music, and this is one of my favorite collaborations.  Vicarious is an absolutely amazing Tool tribute band that incorporates a lot of different musical influences into the songs any Tool fan worth his or her salt should love.  Tickets are $8 presale and $10 at the door.  Totally worth it, my friends.  Trust.

That’s all folks.
