Jesus God...I have a lot of new stuff for you to take a gander at, so I'm just gonna get down to it. Let's do the goddamn thing. First, a couple of videos from the September 2010 "Give Peace a Dance". I improvised to a mix of "Eyes on Fire (Zeds Dead Remix)" by Blue Foundation and "Blow" by Bassnectar, as well as performing a dance I choreographed to "Start Wearing Purple" by Gogol Bordello. All has been quiet on the homefront, with good reason! I've started up a new Combinations & Choreography class on Tuesday evenings from 8:30-9:30. The class will focus on creating and adapting fresh combinations, stylizations, and moves into one’s vocabulary. We focus on techniques found in other dance forms (such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, modern, and ballroom) that will allow you to explore and heighten your personal style while improving technique in bellydance vocabulary. It's appropriate for all levels and is only $9 for a single class or $40 for a five-class card.

I'll admit it...I love the "Twilight" series.

I'm ashamed. I'm appalled by my own behavior. I look in the mirror every night and call myself a whore while slapping myself in the face. I cry in the shower with a rag in my mouth to muffle my sobs. Ok, I'm taking this a bit too far. I really do feel a slight tinge of embarrassment, though, when I am forced to tell anyone that not only have I read "Twilight" series, but that I also eagerly await every new movie like a 'tween girl. I won't go so far as to say I count down the days to the next premier on my calendar, but I think you can probably surmise that on your own. January was a rocky month at best, April gave me a pretty good sucker-punch of a break-up, June gave me another breakup of a dance partnership, and the December holidays were rough in general (as they always are for me). Now, despite all that, 2009 was an amazing year. I've seen quite a bit of growth in my dance career, my soul, and my relationships.
